Our Commitment to Privacy
Let’s Talk Not Hide is a community education and violence-prevention initiative delivered by the Afghan Women’s Organization Refugee and Immigrant Services and funded by the Government of Ontario.
Through culturally responsive education, community conversations and practical resources, the project helps newcomer, immigrant, refugee and racialized communities recognize warning signs of gender-based and intimate partner violence, respond safely and connect with appropriate support.
Respect, dignity, safety and confidentiality guide our work. This Privacy Policy explains how information received through the Let’s Talk Not Hide website is handled.
Information We May Collect
You may provide personal information when you email our team, request information, ask about a workshop, register for an activity or contact us about a partnership.
This information may include your name, email address, telephone number, organization, community, preferred language, accessibility requirements and information included in your message.
Our website, hosting provider or security services may also collect limited technical information, such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited and the date and time of a visit.
How We Use Information
We may use information to respond to questions, organize workshops and community activities, provide educational resources, communicate about partnerships, improve website accessibility and security, and prepare anonymous or combined program reports.
Whenever possible, reports provided to funders or partners use combined information that does not identify individual participants.

Sensitive Information and Safety
The Let’s Talk Not Hide website is an educational website. It is not an emergency, counselling or crisis-response service.
Please do not send detailed information about violence, immigration status, medical conditions or other highly sensitive personal circumstances through the website or ordinary email.
If you or another person is in immediate danger, call 911.
