Breaking the Silence.
Building Safer Communities.

Creating culturally safe spaces where newcomer, immigrant, refugee, and racialized communities can learn, talk, heal, and take action to prevent gender-based violence.

Welcome to Let’s Talk Not Hide

Everyone Has a Role in Creating Safety

Let’s Talk Not Hide is a community education and prevention initiative delivered by the Afghan Women’s Organization Refugee and Immigrant Services.

We support newcomer, immigrant, refugee, and racialized communities with culturally responsive information, practical tools, and trusted opportunities for conversation.

Through education and community connection, we help people recognize warning signs, respond safely, strengthen healthy relationships, and connect with appropriate support.

Our Purpose

To replace silence with knowledge, fear with support, and isolation with strong community connections.
